THe weather is sSOOOOO dreary outside.  And I really want to ride Skip when I get home.  I enrolled in that AQHA horseback riding program and I'm anxious to see the hours roll up not to mention getting to spend time with the beautiful face below!

 

 

We've been going so hard lately that I gave up this morning of muzzleloading to sleep in.  I am so grateful that James got up and fed the mares and Sawyer.  Jesus I was whooped.  Wedding crap for over a month every weekend something different then the honeymoon last weekend and going to Calculus every morning at 8 through all of this...

Jesus I hate hearing that alarm going off, but Sawyer's wuffle makes it all worth it.

Speaking of wuffles.  He got turned out in the small catchpen that's in front of the stables yesterday.  Poor baby ran the fence for a minute, but acted much better by the time I left.  The three year old filly that's out there is still kinda freaking out at the sight of him, but she's much better today than she was yesterday.

I wanted to take Skip to a horseshow this morning in Monticello, but I don't think my sister wants to haul and I can't really afford to take a horse to a show and just ride around by myself.  Now if it was at the local arena, I'd be there in a heartbeat, but since it's in Monticello... Can't really justify it.  I know that sounds stupid, but it's an NBHA show and I just wanted to go ride her around and watch the competition... I'm not a member, but if a family member who is hauls, I like to go and just exhibition to kinda tune up my horses.

When I have one that can consistently turn a barrel and time, then I'll join.  Mysty bless her heart... We're just not that consistent in the barrels and with me being a newlywed, I think I just need to take a year and spend time with my husband and all that jazz.
