About Me
I'm Kristen QHshowmanship. I'm 20 years old and just graduated from college! I have my degree in Business Administration and I am currently an office manager at a carpet cleaning place. Other then horses I am very involved in my community. I'm a volunteer fire fighter and also a borough council member. Along with that I do tractor pulls, play tennis, and love to swim!

I was just checking my Email and had a friend request on here. You know it has been over two years since I been on here. I completely forgot I even had one! So a little update. Some of you may read the boards and know that I now pull garden tractors. That is about the newest thing with me. I absolutely love it. My boyfriend's family owns the local organization that does Tractor Pulls in the area. So I had some connections. But right now I am pulling a Farmall. However, we are putting together a Cub that will be officially mine. We will be painting it pink and maybe some purple. It'll be called "Cuberella". Another new thing, is I recently graduated college. That was about a month ago. I finished in the top 3 of my class, although I am not sure what place. I now have my degree in business administration.
Horses have been, well enjoying being horses. I don't ride much - not even close to what I should be. My interests are changing. And although I love riding and love horses - it is something I want to just make a hobby and do in my free time rather than having to go out there every day just to keep my horse up to date. I still live to show, but the riding and getting him ready to show the weeks before kills me. I don't have the time to do it everyday and really that is what he needs. I keep contemplating on selling him and getting an older more experienced horse or not. I guess time will tell with that.
Lastly, my community involvement stuff is going well. I won primairies last month and my name will be going on the ballot for a four year seat this November. I am actually the one that had the most votes in primaires for our borough! I am still the youngest one on council - but I am enjoying it more everyday! The fire department is doing well, too. I am starting to do more medical stuff rather than actual firefighting, but it is what I want. I rather do EMS. I am just not built to be a firefighter. Don't get me wrong though, I still do some of it - but I wont risk others by me going into a building. So I'll stick to car fires and brush fires for the fire side.
So that's a bit of an update on me! Hope all my friends are doing well. Don't be afraid to leave a comment. I don't bite [hard] .
Today was my graduation party And I came home to open all my things. And I read the card from my Grandparents. Gator is all mine. He's actually in my name and everything! That was my graduation present from them. I am so excited because I was going to make payments so I could call him mine.
People ride horses because they love it. Ask any rider, most of them love it and hate it sometimes, and they couldn't imagine their life with out it. Its part of them, the love/hate relationship. its what they live for. They live for the practices, parties, cheers, long truck/trailer rides, invitationals, countless pairs of boots for horse and rider, water, Gatorade, & coaches you love and admire. They live for the way it feels when they beat that other rider knowing those two extra lead changes they did in their lesson were worth it. They live for the way they become a family with their barn friends, they live for the countless songs they sing in their head while training all those hours. They live for the competition, they live for the friends, the practices, the memories, the pain, its who they are. It's who we are. We are Equestrians.
After hours of stall cleaning, mane pulling, tail braiding, saddle soaping, months of conditioning, and years of continuous training... sweat, tears, bruises, and broken ambitions they still have the balls to tell us Equestrian is NOT a sport, even say it's a girly prissy sport... I just laugh and say "live a day in my boots"
Just think about both. We surely are E.Q.U.E.S.T.R.I.A.N.S
