Oh the weather has just been lovely. You all probably don't understand; unless of course you live in Houston with me. You guys just get your beautiful sunshine and soft warm breezes! We are stuck with no sun, and storms. I bet the arena is a swamp again. Sigh.

Our arena was looking so good! It had just enough rain to make it not a sandstorm and it was nice and soft and not squishy. But you're balancing on a thin blade with our arena. Just enough rain and it's perfect, too much rain and you have a swamp. I really wish we had a covered arena. But those are much too expensive. =[

?We keep asking about covered arenas [hoping that we won't hit a nerve, of course] and Robin keeps saying: "Yeah, yeah, we can get a covered arena! Let's see... How much will your board cost then?" Baaaah. It's already really expensive to begin with. You know, she has VERY few boarders, and so we are basically bringing in the bulk of her money. So I can always pull the?"Well I saw another barn that has all of this AND is $400 a month. That's how much I pay, but I don't see any of the extra luxuries?"

?I've just been with Robin for a really long time. Since I moved here when I was nine [sixteen now]. And it's not really a buisiness relationship. It's more of a friendship. =] Haha. There's the group of us that have been there since forever [seems like the beginning of time!]. We are the ones in highschool, ya know? It is really going to stink when we leave. =[ At least me and Lauren are the oldest in the group. So we leave first; you know, that wouldn't seem like a good thing at first, but it is. Because this is how it is:

?Lauren, Becky[me] = 16, Juniors; Amber = 15, Sophomore; Sina = 14, Freshman.

So it really stinks for Sina. =( Once Lauren and I graduate, there's just Amber and Sina. But then Amber will graduate and it will just be Sina. I feel so terrible for her. I'm afraid, since there might be no one else, she might just stop coming out. That would be terrible. Maybe more people her age will join, and there will be another group at the barn.

?So that is why I'm glad I'm one of the oldest. Also, if I wasn't, Lauren is still the same age as me. So if we were the last to go, we would still have each other, right? The others don't have that.

?And at least there is Madison. But she is just going into Sixth grade now. Not exactly the same thing, am I right?

?There are a ton of kids that are still walk trot, but I'm sure that they will be the new "big kids" [that's us]. It's really depressing, if you think about it. I don't want to leave, but I do, at the same time.

I know I'll come back to visit. But it will never be the same. =[

It will be like leaving all of my friends and moving away.

That's exactly what it is. I'm leaving all of my friends to go to college. That's another depressing thought. One of my teachers told us that she has NEVER talked to her highschool friends after she graduated. That while in HS, friends are SO important, but once you leave, you just stop keeping in touch.?[That's why I love the internet so much.]

The only thing I can cling to is that Caitlin [my best friend] and I are both wanting to go to A&M. If we both go to the same school, I would be so happy.

But everyone else is moving around the country, etc.

I'm sure I can make new friends, that's not the problem.

It's just that I can't stop clinging to all the good memories I have; and it's making me really sad.

Kudos to you if you read all of that! You must like me, haha, probably not. Anyways, if you did read it, do you have any advice College-wise? Did you keep in touch with your friends, or did you get get brand new ones and forgot about all your old friends?

Aaah, this is so sad. At least I'm just a Junior next year and I have two more years. But.. It's going to go by so fast.

?I don't want to leave highschool!! I'm not ready!

But I will be ready when the time comes.
