Hey all. Again, sadly not much riding being done. Sigh. Just when I finally get my schedule organized and ride more than once a week... I hurt my knee. ERG! Fortunately not bad just twisted it last Friday loading hay. So giving the weekend off to recuperate.
Staying busy though. Helping my sister get ready for her FIRST horse trials. She's doing Hopeful level on her App pony. Its been stressful since she's not shown much and tends to shut down and be really negative when she gets to the showgrounds. Sigh. But she's been having some really great rides the past few weeks and I think this is giving her positive vibes. :)
I set up a practice course today with ten jumps and she jumped it great! It had an oxer in it which she's never jumped before. :) I had her do some warm ups and then sent her over to the Oxer. IT was about 2 ft or so. Her pony is too cute. He refused the first time but to be fair he was a bit distracted by the other horse riding in the arena. She circled back, kicked on and sailed over the oxer with a big scream of delight!!! lol. She jumped it a couple more times and then I sent her around the whole course. She had no problems at all. :) He's a great pony when he puts forth the effort. :)
So stay tuned for next weekends post! I will hopefully have pictures available the Monday after the show. Yay!
Thanks again to anybody who actually reads these. :)

Good luck with your show! I think what you do is absolutely exciting! I love to watch. I wish there X-country courses around where I live, but it's not a popular sport here. However, we're working on a new organization that will combine a lot of different types of riding. Maybe there will be a lot more jumping style courses added. :o)
JessiDefinitely keep us posted! I love the pics!
