We finally got some rain!! We got around 4 inches. We have water in the ditches and in the horse lot. We need more, but I am so thankful for what we got.
Neal and I got out by ourselves today. We went to Myrtle Beach and Conway. I can't get over how everything is building up down there. Golf courses seem to be popping up every other mile. We got to see where they are putting in the new Hard Rock amusement park. From what we saw it looks like it's going to be pretty good. Conway and Myrtle Beach almost meet now. That is just so unbelievable to me. It wasn't so long ago there was a looong stretch of woods between the two towns.
We went to Wild West. It's a clothing/tack store. I love to go in there and just look around. I got the kids a shirt a piece. We got a hackamore for Bill. We priced some saddles and blankets. I drooled over some saddles. I don't think I left any drool spots on them though.
I bought a cheapy saddle from ebay the other day. It's pretty and hopefully will serve it's purpose. We needed a saddle to fit Kelly and just don't have big bucks to spend on a good one right now. Kelly is shaped like a barrel and nothing we had fit her. We are going to have to start working with Stevie pretty regular to get him ready for the special olympics in march. I can't wait to see how he does.
Neal has Monday off and said that he is going to start looking for another job. The plant he is working at now is just doing stupid stuff. They will work the guys to death for a while and then not work for weeks at a time. We can't live like that. The department that Neal works in hasn't seen this as much as other departments in the Mill. We have been very lucky, but we think our luck is running out. It's time to start looking for something else.
Halloween is going to be crazy. Stevie gets his scope done. I think I am going to try and get Beth at least out to trick or treat for a little while. I don't know how well Stevie will feel that evening so I will play that part by ear.
