I am just getting started on this blog stuff. I thought id begin by introducing myself and my horses first. I am a 53 yr old mother of three grown sons who moved away. My horses are now my kids! What brats they can be too! I love to trail ride and i have a paso fino gelding, 7rs old, who is named Munchkins. He is a chestnut sabino and is very gaited. And i have a new paint horse named Relic who is also 7 yrs old. He is green but doing very well on the trails. And i have a saddlebred mare, Jane who is 15 yrs old and is a handful. She is well broke but wasnt ridden in a long time and now that ive started riding her again, shes angry and has temper tantrums. She will do little hops, little bucks and generally act nasty when you try to ride her. I call her bluff and stay on her and she begins to ride good again. I think all she needs is more riding. I ride at the NYS horsetrails at Brookfield, NY sometimes but mostly i just ride around here on the back roads and the 4-wheeler trails. I always love to meet horse people to talk horses with and even to ride with as there is a shortage of people where i live that like to ride. Well, thats about it, id love to hear from some of you.
