Update on Sassy!
Today is still the day but I am now going to keep her where she already is. I am getting her from a friend so it works out. The place I was going to keep her has not finished their barn yet so I am just going to board her where she is so I don't have to move her much whille she is prego :) After the baby I will move her to the other place. (April or May)
Some of you have been asking, am I going to keep the baby?? It all depends, I have an aggrement with the previous owners that they have the choice, so they are paying all the vet bills and helping with cost during the time the baby is about to be here and while it is here. :)) they say they are willing to take that gamble so that is nice. If it is not the color and/or sex they want then I will have the choice to keep it or not, so it all depends.
Well I am so excited it will all be done today can't wait to see her later!
Question about Tack...
I got a Winnteck (spelling???) Saddle and my friend told me that they were not good to use cause it is bad for their back... I had another person tell me they love them. Anyone know anything about this? Also they said stay away from Nylon halters, cause they can't break them if they freak... I don't want her to get hurt but I have alwasy used Nylon halters so I am not sure about this.
Thurs can't get here fast enough!!!!
I am so ready to have Sassy as mine!!! Yeah I get to see her now but to have everything final will be a weight lifted off. I lucked up and got some FREE tack inc. a saddle form a friend who just had it all sitting in her barn for 2 years getting dirty and old. So I cleaned it all up and it looks almost brand new!!! It is a winteck (spelling??) saddle and fits her perfect!!! I can't wait to ride in it. Now all I need is a bridle and bit and I will have the tack I need to get started. Plus my cuz. horse Izzy is ready to have pasture friend, she is bored by herself. Well I am just bitting at the bit ;) to get her and will let you all know how it goes.
If anyone can think of anything I need to make sure I have or is just good to have around the barn please let me know.
Hi everyone!
I am going to be a new horse owner to MY first horse in 6 days!!! I had a horse as a kid but that was all the parents doing when it came time to sell and such. She is a 15 year old QH bay mare, around 15 hands. I have never been part of a horse site like this so I am looking forward to learning new things and talking with horse lovers like me.
