About Me
Horses have always had a special place in my heart, as far back as I can remember. I'm a South Florida native, happily married to a firefighter and right now, I don't own any horses. After 20 years of not riding, I'm looking to get back into it. My "kids" are four rambunctious cats, all female: Stimpy, Lorelai, Piper and Pumpkin. I'm the very proud aunt of Stephanie and Ronnie and just-as-proud godmother to Samantha, who has just started her first year at college.
Music
Music is a passion for me; I love ALL genres. Whether it's ragtime, swing, rock, punk, country----a good song is a good song. My absolute favorite though is Stevie Ray Vaughan. :-)
Movies
The Black Stallion, The Horse Whisperer, Body Heat, To Kill A Mockingbird, Sixteen Candles, There's Something About Mary----I love a lot of movies, too. If anything with Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers is on, I'll watch it every time.
TV
I have to say Horsecity.com on RFD-TV! That's what brought me here! I also watch the other horse shows on RFD, along with John From Cincinnati, Desperate Housewives, My Name Is Earl, The Office, The Closer, Rescue Me...I watch a lot of TV I guess. LOL
Books
I also love to read, so the list is long, but a few books that have meant a lot to me in my life are: The Black Stallion, To Kill A Mockingbird, Gone With the Wind, A Separate Peace, L'Morte D'Arthur, Riding Lessons.
Likes
The fall and winter here when there is less humidity and the nights are clear and balmy. I love the sounds of children laughing, horses nickering in their stalls as the sun goes down, my husband telling me he loves me. :-)
Dislikes
Dishonesty in any form, including phoniness. Rudeness, lack of consideration for others. I also am not fond of extreme temperatures, hot OR cold.
Hobbies
Horses, of course, but ALL animals really. Dancing, drawing, the beach, the country, riding bikes....I like a variety of things.
Vices
I crib----just kidding! LOL I get anxious at times; I know exactly what horses feel. I also can be stubborn at times. Guess I know how mules feel, too! :-)
Virtues
Oh, I'm a regular SAINT! LOL Not really, but I don't drink, smoke, do drugs and I tend to be pretty level-headed most of the time.
Heroes
Anyone who keeps moving forward in spite of great difficulties. I root for the underdog.

KarenSorry I haven't been on the site for some time. I guess I am losing my mind(by the way, if anyone finds it, please return it) I don't even remember having any friends other than Amy. Anyway, just wanted to say "Hey", and I will try to check in more often. My kids just set up a myspace for me, and it is pretty fun. Heck I was yelling at them all the time to stay off of that mess.....now I am one of them!! LOL
