    It's been like...forever =\

Hey guys! It's been ages since I've posted a blog! Here's an update on my Logan and how things are going around here!

I moved Logan to a new barn on December 1st. He's about 20 minutes away at Circle A Plantation, a wonderful riding academy owned by one of the most awesome people I know: Jennifer Sansbury. Everyone is so nice and everybody loves Logan! He absolutely ADORES the place, too. He plays all the time, which he never used to do, and he loves his food so much he sist there and licks his feed bucket clean! Jennifer has some awesome jumps and she just got a new set for Christmas. Her self-made jumps include a brick wall which is 2', a picket fence which is 2'3", and a "railroad" just that goes form 2'3" to about 4'.

Logan and I are doing wonderful. We're jumping 2'6" consistantly now with near-perfect form on both of us. He loves it. I never thought he could arch like he does, but Jennifer says he's awesome! I got a new saddle off of Ebay, it's a used Crosby Corinthian without knee rolls. It's alot darker leather and MUCH better quality than my Kincade, so I'm excited to ride in it. I'm currently in Colorado so not being able to ride is killing me!

I ride horses and ponies for Jennifer now, which is alot of fun and very beneficial. Riding different types of horses/ponies is one of the best ways to improve your riding skills. I ride this one pony named Macaroni for a little girl named Grayanna. Mac's a real cutie, just has boss issues. I also ride a Halflinger pony named Fatty for Jen. He hates me. Everytime I rdie him, he acts like a brat. But he's fine for his lesson students. Crack me up...stupid ponies. My favorite horse that I ride, though, is a 5 year old Thoroughbred gelding named Sam. He's about 15.3hh and veryyy green. The first time I rode him, we just clicked. He has alot of issues that need to be addressed first, but I want to show him by Summer.

Speaking of showing, Logan and I are in Children's Hunter this year. The fences are 2', but I figure that as long as we're schooling at least 2'3" at home, it should be a peice of cake. First show is March 8th, I'm really excited. I think Logan and I can take Champion again and hopefully get a series end award come May. In fact, I know we can do it. Especially if we're showing against...you know who. coughcoughsatancoughcough Lol....

I'll try and put up some recent pics of my babies!

    Hola!

Hi! It's been quite some time since I posted a blog, so i shall do one now. Hoorah.

Logan is doing very good. I got him some new polo wraps at the Eqine Extravaganza and he got to try them out yesterday. They are white, so he looks gwa-geous.

We have a show this Saturday, which will be awful due to the heat. I'm wearing my navy jacket and a light blue shirt. I got a new stock pin at the EE. It's a silver bar and it has a small ribbon on it with a blue rhinestone in the center. Logan will be wearing his favorite saddle pad: white A/P with navy trim and light blue piping with my initials in navy script. Whyte is also letting us borrow her white open-front boots. We're going to look very nice, as long as I can get my practice time in this week.

Still no sign of a boyfriend, but I'm looking. Into a few boys, but I guess we'll just wait and see. They all like me, they've told me so, but I dunno. Hmm. Something to think about, right?

I'm skipping a grade this year, landing me in 8th. How fun! lol It'll actually be a challenge, which will take some getting used to.

Volleyball practices start this week. I still have to go out and get some shoes. Eeek! Time is running thin...

    A New Home For Logan?

    Wednesday, July 18, 2007, 10:32 PM [General]

No, I'm not selling him! hehe. I'm looking around for a new boarding stable to board him at, since the cost at my barn is just way too much. My dad's a policeman and my mom got laid-off about six months ago, so money's tight around here. And everyone knows that showing hunters isn't exactly a cheap sport.

I went and looked at a stable down the road from my house today, and was very pleased.

    The Barn

The aisle was very wide and clean[wide enough to cross tie Logan outside his stall and still have room for a horse to walk by safely], as were the stalls. Clean, I mean. They weren't huge, but Logers is hardly ever inside anyway so oh well. It's only 27 stalls, and everyone of them has a window, so Logan would love it! There's no personal tack lockers like I'm used to, but oh well. No biggie. There are two regular tack rooms that lock so we're all good. Umm...oh, there are fans on the stalls...there's a nice wash bay for him.

    Riding Facilities

The arenas are nothing special. There's an okay sized barrel arena behind the barn, which would work fine for flatwork and such. Umm...there's a nice round pen...there are only 7 horses and TONS of paddocks/pastures, so I could turn one of the paddocks into a jump field if I wanted to. There are lots of trails and stuff, which is nice for my mom, who's a trail addict. There's one other hunter who boards out there[she's my age! yay! my first horsey friend EVER. maybe.] and she's big into showing like me, so the lady is looking into buying jumps and stuff. She seems really nice.

So that's about it. My mom is going to talk to her a little bit more, so please wish us luck! I love our current barn and all, but I dunno. Money's tight, ya know?
