    Saturday, July 14, 2007, 01:59 PM [General]

And of course I had nothing to worry about. I supose I'm more socially capable than I realize most of the time. I was really never alone, always with someone. Or someone always wanting to be with me.

Day 1- Monday, July 9th. -The Trip

Started the day off with getting up at 5:45 AM. OUCH. But I had things to do before we left at 7 for the church. Well, finally got there, loaded the bus, got our seats and we were off for our 10 hour drive to the beach. No problem really, I like car drives. Except... when you have a crappy bus shared by 40 teenagers and 10 adults. Bleck, talk about smelly. Our bus last year was way better. But anyway, I sat with my brotha from anotha motha who never stops talking, for the first 4 hours of the trip. Gah I love him. But after the 4 hours I sat with my friend that *gasp* wasnt with her guy! Yay! Eh, the rest of the trip was uneventful.

Finally, we get there. Unload the bus, run around like crazy trying to find my stupid room that got mixed around like mad. Ends up, we're adjoined to GUYS. Wow. So, we had to get the kitchen locked off, gladly we got it. So the only way we had access to eachother was the balcony. Which brought on the water works(not what you're thinking) in a later day.... Then the rest of the day was just playing in the ocean and pool with my guys. And that night stayed up talking with the people that I roomed with till 1:30 am. ahah.

Oh yes, and Monday marked the first day of me and another kid, Austin, a 6th grader, having a 'I can dish it better' fight. I've you've never had one of those, its just a tit for tat game where you see who can bug the other, or do something mean to the other the most. I LIVE for these fights and am very well known for them to everyone in our youth. I dont get sympathy anymore because I do it to everyone.

Day 2- Tuesday, July 10th. -The First full Day

First day of Recreation for two hours! The morning was pretty uneventful, just the morning service and all that jazz. I'd write down all the hilarious things that my friends said but this post would be 5 pages long before I was done. So dont think the whole trip was uneventful... actually it was the craziest, most hilarous 5 days I've had... ever. Hahah.

We eat lunch, then get ready for Rec. It was fun for the first... hour. Then the second was fun too, just hot and oh so very tiring. I got burned... and tanned at the same time! Lol, my friend only burned and had people come up to her and say, 'I felt bad about how white I was till I saw you!' But its true, shes a ghost that doesnt tan worth crap.

Rec got over, played in the pool and the ocean over and over. Wore myself OUT. Wow, I dont think I've ever been that tired before in a long time.

But it was amazing to see the lives changed. In just the second day. God has his ways that are so above ours, all we can do is be amazed and amused by how it works out, and sometimes works out to be hilarious. Thank you, my Father.

Day 3- Wednesday, July 11th. -The Water Park

Day 3 started out like the others did, breakfast, service, free time, lunch. The works. But, instead of rec, we went to a nearby water park. Had a BLAST. Oh my gah it was amazing. We were there for 5 hours. First hour I was with my friend and the guy I was talking about. Twas fun, for old times sake because last year we went on the same ride at the same park over and over again with one of my really good friends about 40 times. But my good friend couldnt make it, his mom wouldnt let him(bleh.). But my friend felt sick because she hadnt eaten, so then I ran off with my dad, and two of my other guy friends(as you read this you will realize I have 2 girl friends to about 13 guys. But I love them). So we went on the same raft, but heres the interesting part. There is a rule to this camp, 'Thou shall not tresspass on thy neighbors body.' Yeah... didnt do that on purpose... Well, you'll see.

I got in from, then one of the guys behind me(We have history like crap. To make it short I still drive him mad and he cant do a thing about it), then the other guy friend, then Daddy. Well the guy that was behind me didnt cross his legs, OH YES. And on this ride you WILL end up in the lap of the person you're in from of... oh boy. ROFL. One of my other guy firends who wasnt going with us but was in the line behind us yelled at the guy I was in front of, 'THOU SHALL NOT TRESSPASS ON THY NEIGHBORS BODY!' I about died. So the whole ride I held onto the front just trying not to end up... uh..... to keep this PG, on him. *sigh* Thanks man, thanks.

Well, after that, I ditched them(for obvious reasons!) for my 6th grade guy friends. 5 6th grade guys. All out to impress me. Ohhh yeah....

But I love them. They kept me going, but we're pretty well behaved. Contrary to what the others say about them, they're always so calm with me. Odd really. Well, rode rides for 4 hours straight. Hahah I must've looked funny leading a pack 5 guys who were at least 3 years younger than myself.

5 hours were up, time to go. I got some really awesome Dippin' Dots. Very yummy, expensive as crap though. And of course my guy autorage had to have some. It was shared by about 8 people. Yay.

Then the 6th graders finally left me alone, 5 minutes till we leave. And I look to my friend and say 'I love the 6th graders, but I dont have to like them right now.' Lol, it was true.

And the rest was just the evening service, carrying on my fight with Austin and things of the sort.

Day 4- Thursday, July 12th.- The Water Works

Day 4 started out like the other days did. Breakfast, service, lunch, all that jazz. But we had rec that day too. It was suposed to be a quick game... them OMC. For those who dont know what OMC is, it is Organized Mass Chaos. OH YES. But of course, 5 minutes before we start OMC. A MASSIVE thunderstorm started. So we had the clear the beach. That was at 2 and we said we'd come back at 2. 3:30, we're still in our rooms. But around then it wasnt too bad and I was out on the balcony. BIG MISTAKE. Austin THEN decided, and I was fully dressed in a t-shirt and JEANS, that he would dump a bucket of water on me. Well, it didnt get me too bad. So all it did was make me laugh. THEN HE DID IT AGAIN! This time... with ice in the water. And that time I was soaked. Crapola.

Then I got the bright idea to go down to the pool where everyone else was. Including my brotha from anotha motha. Who I promptly pushed in. Then, with all my clothes still on, he picked me up and threw me in. OH SWEET JOY! It was hilarious, but alittle obnoxious. So I stayed in the pool, got pushed in about 8 times by different people because... well.... I deserved it. It was my tit for tat fight group that pushed me in.

But I met a cool dude though. Mark. He skates apparently, was signed with CCS and Element. I dont know if he was telling me the truth or not because he WAS flirting at me. But he was cool so I didnt mind. Eh, he was cool.... till he wanted me to go to the hot tub with him. Then it was like, 'uhh... never mind.' So I went up and got changed back to my bathing suit because OMC was about to start. At 4. An hour after said it would. Oh well.

We did OMC. Had a blast making fools of ourselves. Wore myself out for the 3rd day in a row. But it was an awesome end to a long week. But that night, I got dillusional.

After dinner, I got up to go to starbucks and my friends like, 'Are you ok?' and I said Im fine over and over because I thought I was. And I'm the leder, so admitting you're not ok is giving up leadership. Which I hate. And I wanted starbucks! So we went up to our rooms, got some money, came back down and I started getting alittle freaky. I had double thoughts, saying the same things over and over, dizzy, dillusional, the works really. So Daddy made me sit down, and all I did after that was service. And during worship I got so dizzy I had to sit down again. Bleck I didnt want to so I stood up again and fell right back down. After that I just decided to worship my God sitting down, it was the thought that counted I supose.

After service I was alot better and went over to starbuck. With the whole group in tow! Hahah my dad ended up paying for everyones starbucks(75 bucks worth.). And when we were there, got a call from my mom, my brother got saved! Wow, another big thing on a big week! Walker, my other other guy friend, came up and hugged my dad. I love him even though he shaved his head into a short mohawk. Lol.

Got back from starbuck... and there was a talent show. OH.MY.GAH. that was the most HILARIOUS thing you have ever seen in your entire life. Walker was lip singing to some 80s song, a bunch of kids from another church was doing an American Idol skit with a guy playing Paula. And the best part of the skit was when these three girls sang Redneck Woman and the Paula guy said 'I may not be a Redneck Woman but I've got a honky tonk bedonky donk.' The whole crowd died laughing.

And the rest... we'll you'd just have to have been there.

Day 5- July 13th.- The Trip home.

Pretty uneventful other than fighting with the guy I sat infront of on the raft ride for 20 minutes straight. Yup, nice huh? Its sad how much hes changed. He used to be so much better than he is now. Now, I have no clue who he is or anything, Needless to say I miss the old him...

Well, that was Daytona 2007. Or, what I remember of it. I'm still in a fog due to the lack of sleep and the physical demand we we're all put through. Cant wait till next year and am very glad I was proven wrong.

    Ehhhhh....

    Thursday, July 5, 2007, 08:55 PM [General]

    *sigh*

I should be more excited than this. Im leaving to go to the beach with my youth group for 5 days in 4 days from now. Last year was amazing. I met quite a few friends, swam for hours on end, wore myself out, had the BEST time of the entire year. Everything. But this time, 4 days out from my trip, I cant help but not want to go. Sure, it'll be fun. Probably just as much as last year if not more. So why am I not looking forward to it?

Who knows. Maybe its the fact that so much has changed, that going there again a year to the day that I had the year before, that maybe it'll be a constant reminder of what I had and what I lost. Or maybe I'm just scared of the fact that this year wont be so fluffy. It wont be so safe and secure. Last year, I had a solid friend that I could always be with. Always. Now, eh, I've been replaced by some dude.

So what am I left with? My guy friends. Sure, I love them to death and they'd do anything for me. Theyre just hard to keep up with.

Eh, I supose I should be looking forward to it. Yay.
