I haven't had much time get on this thing and I kinda forget I have this profile but I'm gunna do my best to get on here more often.. I don't have my stud colt anymore I traded him for this coming 2yo paint mare shes really awesome.. Shes stout already muscular, quiet, especially when handling, shes really laid back.. Doesn't spook easy at all think shes got really good head on her shoulders.. shes turning 2 in december i think i'm gunna get on her for the 1st time monday this will be her very first time with person on her..
All the other horses are doing wonderful my friend and i both picked up few kids to give lessons to on the older horses.. so were tradin off with that deal and everything.. Fixin start her colt to I hope so we can both ride and have a good time..
We also adopted lil pup out there.. She was dropped off we think I heard her cryin when I went to feed outta the back barn and she came runnin up we think shes maybe 6 weeks old if that.. Shes a sweetie tho.. My friend said she can stay as long as she wants but if she leaves she leaves.. so far shes stayin I go play with her for at least 30 min to hour a day if i can while were feedin and what not shes already smart bout the horses and our cow we have..
Well other than that nothing is changing.. Hope every1 is doin great drop me aline love hear from yal!!
So my horse is pretty much over his "sniffles" he didn't even get a bad case of them.. He was back to his self in less than 3 days.. We've been workin on catching with out going up to his head and lettin him work his way to me.. He lets me walk up to him brush him all over his tail and mane.. He actually refuses to let me outta the pen til I do so (hes not spoiled at all ;) ) We're still workin on leading and things.. It seems like once you touch him and things you can do anything with him.. Tomorrow were workin on our feet cuz his feet need done badly.. But besides that hes doing wonderful.. He still has a pawing bad habit.. I'm not sure of curing but if anybody has any ideas that would be great to hear 'em.. Thanks!!
Well I've been workin some long shifts lately and constantly havin to have a friend of mine feed.. Well today I finally got to go out and see my baby and he has the sniffles.. He isn't really bad bad but he did let me go up and love on him brush his tail and do anything i wanted really without throughing ahuge fit like he usually does.. well if u knew this horse uw ud be proud of what we accomplished today.. Cuz u usually can't get that close or even handle him that long with out gettin drug or something stupid.. I was thinkin of trading him but I think i'm gunna keep him cuz hes awesome hes a one person horse which thats what i want.. I mean I don't mind others when they come see him but I don't like other people riding my horses.. just a thing I have.. But neways thats a lil update on Bo.. i'll let ya know how he recovers
When I was like 15-16 I broke my arm on this mare I was running barrels on.. Well my confidence I still had some but I got a block once I kicked a horse into a lope.. I had to get rid of my mare cuz of my block and now i'm starting out with a colt ground up.
Well today I rode two of my best friends horses she never rides, shes older, so I ride all her horses for her.. These two horses are lil older but one use to be an ex-barrel horse so I took him out last and this was his first time out in over 5 years by himself.. He did wonderful we walked the pasture then we troted with out breakin the pasture then we lope and did lead changes I never have felt so confident on a horse and that was my only second time on him.. The other horse I ride for her hes just a pleasure w.e. horse.. hes very laid back and things..
She also has a ex-reining/cuttin horse I'm fixin start on her again see how she holds up cuz shes only 16... The other horse she has we can't ride cuz she has a bad back.. But does anybody know or think that my confidence might not go with me to my colt once I start breaking him in a year or so?
