Hi
I have a problem I have ever ecoutered before...Ca anyone help..
I have a Draft/warmblood ex drivig horse Im re-training to ride. She is accepting riders but when I trail ride her she shakes her head. This is getting to be a problem...
she is extremely foreward going and when held back she starts the bad behaviour!!
Not sure what to do as I have ever encountered it before????
Any ideas would be great...I ride her in a Kimberwick..which Im sure is ot great either...
She is good and does respond to my commands...She slows down and has great brakes!

Have a chiropractic vet check her out. Sometimes the atlas gets out of wack and they need to be adjusted.
DianeGo to www.ahvma.org American Veterinary Chiropractic Association and find someone near you. Or ask around if someone you know uses a chiro vet, someone they really trust.
Very often problem behaviors in a horse are caused by un-addressed physical discomfort.
Hope that helps.
