Ack! Life is so crazy with all this rain. Don't get me wrong. I am THANKFUL for the rain. It just makes everything into a muddy goopy soupy mess around here. We have made 4 additions to our herd for a while. A dear friend is going through a messy divorce and the horses need new home. Pearl and Katie are here at the farm and GiGi and and Cruiser are at the farm in Edgefield.

Pearl is a perlino and is a full sister and IDENTICAL TWIN of little Lexy at the Edgefield farm. They are full sisters with Pearl being 3 and Lexy being 2. I so hope to find a good home for this filly where she will have a J O B. She has so much flippin energy that needs a direction! :) She is lovely and has grown so much since Ms S bought her from Matt. She's 2 hands taller and 200 to 250 pounds heavier.

Katie is a sweet girl that can have a grumpy moment or two... or three:) For Katie I want a 1 on 1 home where she can be the star for her owner. She adores being petted and scratched on her neck behind her ears. She rides really good but sours up quicker than milk left on the porch in the summer if you get heavy in her mouth. She is not real fond of kids though she is kid safe but she sullens up when they ride her and often refuses to move. (She was a lesson horse and I really can't blame her). She a mare who takes NO crap form anyone and needs someone who will ask her and not force her to cooperate.

GiGi is a Buckskin mare who has given us two amazing fillies in the last 3 years. She is the mama to Donut and Foxy the matched pair of buttermilk buckskins at the Edgefield Farm. She is super sweet and loves attention. She IS NOT sound to ride as her hocks sustained injuries when she was being stated under saddle and she cannot stay sound when ridden. She does have heaves in the summer when they hay is dusty but we found that soaking her hay works beautifully. We keep some Dexamethason on hand in case she gets bad.

Cruiser is a 4 month old stud colt that will make an awesome gelding. GiGi is his mama and he is sired by our stud Nifty Windcatcher. He is undecided on whether he wants to be sorrel or dun. His under coat is pretty red so I'm just not sure...

They are asking $1000 each for Pearl and Katie and either $2500 for the pair of GiGi and Cruiser with GiGi bred back to Windy or $2250 without her re-bred. (Windy's regular stud fee is $600 and he is worth EVERY dime).

Peppy is getting ready to go to Brian Wells for fitting for the National Ranch Horse Association World show. I am amped about that let me tell you! Whew! That colt looks amazing! Built like a brick .... outhouse!

Blue is having a stroke with all these pretty girls in the pasture next to him and HE CAN'T get to them. It makes for hysterical watching.

Well that's life here on the ranch right now.
