    THE HARDEST DECISION EVER!!!

Wednesday, May 7, 2008, 12:24 PM CST [General]

i am about to face the hardest decision of my life.  as you may or may not know i have three horses my  oldest being 24 and i love this horse with all my heart i have had her for 5 years and she is going  downhill she wasn't taken care of in her younger years so she's been difficult to get healthy i now must choose to either keep her and sell my 8 y/o paint. or vice versa. i love her to death but i just can't afford to keep all three. i cannot ride my old baby due to back problems but i don't want to see her go and i have trust issues with other ppl and the vast amount of vet attention she requires. my paint is completely ridable and a wonderful trail horse but he doesn't get along with jackie (my mustang)      i am officially in my first pickle. . . HELP!!!!!!

Wow. That sounds exciting. I haven't competed mush in the past five years, but I did mainly gymkhanas before that. I did some shows, or western pleasure classes, but I didn't have the right kind of horse. Then about 3 years ago I started jumping. Absolutely loved it! I've worked with a reining trainer for about 2 years too, but again, my horse wasn't up to it. He has a little "control" issue. LOL. He loves to run. He is my barrel horse. Anyhow, I've been practicing with him again to possibly get back into barrels and poles. We'll see how it goes.

Yes, that's my Dakota. He's a Paint/QH cross. I got him when he was 3, and have had him for 7 yearsI'm trying to post more pics, I've just been lazy. LOL. What do you do with your horse?
