    She's home!

Friday, September 21, 2007, 05:08 PM EST [General]

I brought Patches home from the trainer's house on Wednesday and can't wait to ride! She's been there since early June and I've been out to ride her a few times, but it hasn't been nearly enough! We're giving her some time to get re-acclimated to the other horses and to the grass, but I hope her head will be in the right place sometime this weekend so I can get in at least a little riding.

The weather has gotten so nice, just a hint of fall in the air.. perfect riding weather! Looks like there's a chance of rain both days, but hopefully we'll be able to fit in at least a couple of hours!

My Dad took his horse out to the trainer yesterday, too. He's 14 and thinks he's a pet. They imprinted him back when that was the "thing" to do. Apparently not such a good idea after all. He's generally a good horse, rides well, but has a couple of vices that need to be fixed. One is trailer loading. He has absolutely refused to load for about a year now, and even before then had refused to load to come home from a ride. Talk about causing a problem!

Gilbert loaded him in 17 minutes. My Mom timed him.

I think they're confident that this will be money well-spent!

I will report back on Monday with how she's doing!

Who says white horses can't dance?

Monday, July 30, 2007, 11:18 AM EST [General]

This mare is simply awesome! She literally dances all the way through this Dressage test. You've got to watch this video from the World Equestrian Games.

(I know she isn't white, she's grey, but it made a cute blog title, didn't it?)

Like My Music? Here's how I did It...

Thursday, July 5, 2007, 01:36 PM EST [General]

Go to projectplaylist.com and log in.

Once you're logged in, go back to the main page and type in a song name.

When it comes up in a search list, the most relevant search should be at the top, just like any search. Click on the one you want. (Hit the + button next to it)

You'll have the opportunity to listen to it and then add it to your Playlist.

Then go through that process for all songs you want.

When you're done, you'll see this:

--------- The music track was added to your playlist! Please allow a few minutes for your playlist to update! You have 63 tracks remaining on this playlist. After you fill this playlist, you can create another. Continue or Go to my playlists --------------

If you're done, click "Go to my playlists"

There may be a step in there to add a playlist, but since I already have one, it didn't ask, but added to my current one.

Then click on the name of your playlist. The playlist will appear, you've got the option to edit it, etc.

Down at the bottom of that page are several option next to "Share Playlist"

    - select "Generate Code" The next page gives you the option to generate code for MySpace or for any other site

    - select B. Get the code for any other social network, blog or your own personal website

    >> Next page - select which playlist you want to generate code for. Then you can choose your player color, whether it should autostart and/or shuffle. Click Get Code.

The code appears in a box, copy it and paste it into your Profile or blog. If you put it where mine is in your Profile in the music section, you'll need to change the width of it a bit.

Here's my code (don't copy it, it won't work): See the width and height in the first section? Change the width to about 235 and the height to 350 or so if you've got a lot of songs.

    style="width:435px; visibility:visible; height:270px;" allowScriptAccess="never" src="http://www.musicplaylist.net/mc/mp3player-othersite.swf?config=http://www.musicplaylist.net/mc/config/config_black.xml&mywidth=435&myheight=270&playlist_url=http://www.musicplaylist.net/loadplaylist.php?playlist=9538856" menu="false" quality="high" width="435" height="270" name="mp3player" wmode="transparent" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" border="0"/> src=http://www.musicplaylist.net/mc/images/create_black.jpg border=0> href=http://www.musicplaylist.net/standalone/9538856 target=_blank> src=http://www.musicplaylist.net/mc/images/launch_black.jpg border=0> href=http://www.musicplaylist.net/download/9538856> src=http://www.musicplaylist.net/mc/images/get_black.jpg border=0>
